If you are not getting any responses, it may be one of several reasons.

First, you can search this topic in the forum, and find dozens (maybe hundreds) of threads where it has been discussed ad naseum!

That's not to say it isn't important or interesting. But in reality, everyone's situation has so many variables, it is incumbent that people STUDY this issue for themselves, rather than just asking random questions. The same question can have very different responses in different situations!

Painting our kitchen cabinets will be the final project in our whole house remodel. In the meantime, we have perfected the use of an HVLP gun, and the application of an excellent paint on many feet of moulding. But I still have a lot to learn!
