Many of the tropical broad leaved sages should work. The question is the choice of color and height you want. Salvia miniata is ideally suited, getting about 5 feet tall with glossy leaves and spikes of 2 inch red flowers all summer.

Thank you! I couldn't find the miniata locally, but found this on Annie's Annuals - https://www.anniesannuals.com/plants/view/?id=2043. Salvia gesneriiflora ‘Tequila’ is supposed to get 10' x 10' and bright red blooms summer-winter. Guess I'll have to drive up tomorrow!
