Shelia, I grow a Aeranthes Grandiose. I would assume the culture is similar but not positive. I've had my plant for many years. Grew and flowered it in NY for at least 5 years and it now grows under a tree in Florida.

I have mine in a basket with sphag. It seems happy and is in spike now. I grow it in a shaded light. It gets watered when I remember to water it.

In NY I grew it in a pot with sphag. It summered outdoors, again in shade and watered when dry. It grew well.

They don't seem fussy.

Aeranthes

I am having good results growing my Aeranthes ramosa in semi hydro. I water it twice a week. It is growing under T5 lights. I keep it with my phals and it seems happy there.
