Where are you? I don't expect to see mine for about a month yet since we just got a foot of snow.

How and where did you plant them? In a pot or in a garden? Indoors or out? potting soil, good garden soil or . . . ?

What size were they? Did the roots look healthy with a sort of golden color?

Where are you located? What zone? Since spring has already begun, even in the colder north east, clematis are waking up from their winter slumber. New shoots should emerge in a couple of weeks. Hope you planted it deep to promote new growth from the crown. Make sure you put some fencing around with chicken wire or similar material so that rabbits or other critters would not nip off the newly emerging shoots. It has happened to me many times. Hence the warning. Good luck with your plants. Post pictures when in bloom please.

Just wanted to say hi and welcome !! Clematis are so addicting. I love that you can cram them in , they really grow nicely ! When they are blooming , great and when they aren't they provide a nice background . Good luck with yours and yes please bring photos !
