SubZero Air Filter

The #1 deciding factor for me to purchase a sub zero 48" fridge soon is the air filter. Salesman says it filters ethylene which is what causes produce to decompose faster. Apparently SZ does this well.

Is this legit? I'm gonna panel whatever I buy so looks don't matter. Cost does, but again, if it saves produce from ending up in the vitamix faster or even worse the trash--then why not? We spend a ton on produce for my "rabbit" of a wife and 4 kiddos. Why not help it last longer?

I haven't seen any scientific tests to prove the air purification system makes food last longer than if the system was absent. I can tell you that I have owned a sub zero for over 11 years without the system and it is an excellent product in every respect. My current sub zero keeps food fresh for a remarkable amount of time. However that is only one feature of many that I like.

I would' buy the sub zero for the air purification system, rather because it's an excellent product and the system is one more added feature that sets it apart.

You won't need to buy another for 15-20 years. That has a lot of value, particularly when you are building it in.
