Is the leafless parts still healthy? Maybe it will do what my sulky bella does when it's moved and is chucking a tanty because it was transported?

You are not alone Monica. My plant, that I bought locally, is half the size it was when I bought it. BUT more recently the color seems to be improving and it may have stopped dying. In my case the problem may have been under watering and fertilizing.

I was sure my new Hoya curtisii hated me... It too was very beautiful UNTIL I had it in my clutches. I think it got stressed with the soil change (it was in almost coffee-ground fine soil). I forced myself not to touch it after I watered the new soil twice, and half the leaves died off. But FINALLY it has normal color again and it's starting to 'sit up' more happily. Maybe some Hoyas are just jerks... until they get warmed up to you? ;)

I had a beautiful Curtisii last year. It did great in my garage of all places. We have fluorescent lights on from the time we get up until we go to bed. It went down hill pretty quickly once I brought it in the house when it got too cold this past winter. I guess it really liked the warmth and humidity in the garage.

Oh you just reminded me! I almost wonder if it could have gotten cold while shipping... one night it dipped to 50 degrees while it was on the way to me.

I have moved it twice... I don't think it likes my normal Hoya window. At this point, I'm just going to leave it the heck alone!

Don't feel bad. Both my Mathilde and Curitsii died. They got thinner and thinner, as described. I haven't tried either one again, although all my other hoyas are doing well.

My curtisii died as well :( But my lil serpens is growing away merrily! Of course I just brought it inside for the Winter so it's probably going to sulk now.
