They like the cold but mine was happy enough this Summer with temps averaging around 25 C and the occasional day over 30. It was indoors, but got enough Sun to turn it's leaf spines red. Of course, my plant could be a weirdo! It flowered for me in Summer with about 15 peduncles surviving. It blasted about 7 during the hottest parts of the season though. It would rather sulk about being moved 3 inches to the left than getting a tan.... Of course, my plant could be a weirdo! It's just been potted up with bella Jr. So far it's not sure whether it's offended about not being an only child anymore. I'm sure I'll be greeted with more tossed leaves soon.

I like bella, she has a certain zest :D
