I wouldn't take a chance. If it were my Hoya I would bring it in the house.

Hoya imperialis thrives in high heat and bright, filtered sun. It also does extremely well in normal household conditions, as long as it is in a warm, sunny location.

Don't expose it to direct sunlight (it burns rather easily, even when hardened off). It requires a fast draining, well aerated potting mix.

Adding crushed oyster shell to the mix has helped mine greatly.

Water weekly in hot conditions, and every 7-14 days in cooler conditions (depending on how water retentive your potting mix is).

Monica, I did bring it in! It's totally fine and now back outside. The new growth is still there so I'm happy.

Aurorawa, thank you for all the info. I did keep it in bright window light, no direct sun, more filtered from the window blinds. I will have to look into the crushed oyster shell.
