Butterfly Garden

milkweed seeds

I planted about 10 different milkweed seeds, some I collected and some bought. All the pots have had germination except for one which has Texas and Tubrose seeds in it. Do you think at this time if I put it in the refrigerator for a few weeks, that I might still get germination. I thought I had done so with them all. thanks

I don't think it coulld hurt to try. The first seeds I planted sprouted without any chilling and the volunteers in my yard had a crazy winter -- folks are saying the 3 day winter. We planted some milkweed seed 2-3 weks ago and I am still having some of them sprout, so you may just need to be patiient. If you chill them, you can do both. ;)
