Hi,beautiful plants!i have a huge one,that hasn't bloom in years.its in an east facing window.How much light can it take? If I put it outside in the nice months,how much sun or light should I give it to bloom? Thanks for help.

Mine is growing in bright shade with a few direct rays, not much direct. But you live north of me so that means you can take a little more direct than me.

Believe it or not, I live in northern VT and mine blooms reliably every year! It's in a sunroom with southeastern exposure.

The same plant in different latitudes requires different solar exposure. If you know people in your zone that grow orchids seek their advice. The local advice is the best. That is why joining local societies is the fastest way of finding your way in growing orchids.

A little late to the party, but mine is also blooming. I call it my birthday orchid since it's always in bloom on my birthday :)
