Maybe a pale blush? Something with color (not white or grey) but pale.

I would do white and then accessorize with colors. Much cleaner look that way. Are you keeping the dark countertops?

Yes counters are new. They are Steel Gray granite. It was the cheapest and least busy granite choice.

Cabinets are BM Gray Owl and counters look more black than grey. :(

After s few samples, I actually chose SW Eider White. It is a very pale gray and matched both tile and floor. It still allows white trim to pop. The other samples that did not work were SW rock candy, reflection, repose, gray owl and agreeable gray.
