Bon, hope everything is ok! We were wondering about earthquakes today because the cat was needy.. My California friend says animals sense a quake a before it happens.

I wondered if that's what I felt. Only barely noticed it.

Amy, My cats are always needy, so I don't know if I could use their neediness to predict an earthquake. If our cats see a human sit down for a second, they're in their lap. Our old daddy cat, Emmitt Smith, who is about 15 or 16 years old, will come and jump up on my back and just sit there, purring, when I am on my hands and knees in the garden pulling weeds. Apparently he thinks I am a piece of cat furniture.

I'm not a cat lover, but I did have some outside cats for awhile. One of them never wanted me to touch it. However, I do most of my gardening down on my knees, and as soon as I would start to garden, he would come and lay on my legs. I couldn't touch him, be he could touch me. It was a bit weird.
