Nowhere that I know of. I've kept my eyes open for that one. Rosella Purple was on the top of my tomato list this year. When I work in Charlotte I often visit plant nurseries that sells veggies, always looking for plants and seeds. I haven't seen Rosella Purple anywhere over there. I ordered my Rosella Purple seeds online. I see that The Tasteful Garden has Rosella Plants for sale online, so if you want plants that could be an option for you. I've purchased pepper plants from them before and was not disappointed.

I think you'll have to order online it you want a Rosella Purple. The best place for uncommon veggie seeds around Charlotte that I've found (I'm a Baker Creek seed fan) is Renfrow Hardware in Matthews (great old hardware store), American Beauty Garden Center (nice people) on Independence, and Pike Nurseries (2 locations, no baker creek seeds though). None carried Rosella Purple seeds that I saw however.

It's not too late to start from seeds. Here's one of my Rosella plants from seeds.

I agree. I pretty much stopped driving all over town looking for the "fun" varieties and just order them online. The only thing is that I'll I usually end up buying so much more than what I originally intended! lol

Erin: yes, it's a really cool place. I always visit it when driving near. It hasn't changed at all since I was a kid. The only old hardware store like it in the area that I know of is Davis General Hardware.

Yup, Davis GH is great. I went to school with their grandkids.....or would it be great great great great great grandkids? (That place is really old so who knows!) lol. Super nice people tho!

We are towards the mountains from Charlotte and you can find those little hardware stores everywhere! Shoot, I'd much rather shop there than a BBS. They have everything and more!

Same here, I'm a fan of places like that. I often go out of my way to support smaller family run stores instead of closer big box stores.

Ironically, I discovered a few minutes ago that I have 3 Rosella Purple plants that I apparently got by mistake when I bought a flat of another dwarf last week. I would be happy to share if you were closer to Raleigh.
