Dahlias to Trade

Hello Gardeners,

I live near Lexington, VA and have been growing dahlias for 5 years and have a bunch to trade. I've got a list of what I have and can send it to you if you email me at messner_n@ yahoo.com (remove the spaces). I've set up several trades this Spring and gotten over 50 new dahlias to try for a few $$ postage. I trade on a 1:1 basis. I pay the postage to you and you do the same to me. If any don't eye up I'll replace them. Thanks.

I just read this trade offer. I don't have any Dahlias, so would there be anything else you'd care to trade? I think these are absolutely beautiful.

Hi, I'm open to suggestions of other plant trades. I grow perennials too and would be especially interested in anything that attracts hummingbirds but I'm open to suggestions. Right now I've traded most of my dahlias. I've got a few left that I wintered over and have viable "eyes" -Karma Serena (4), Carmen Mariana (3) and Kasagi (5). However I just dug some others up that survived the winter in the garden. I've divided them and they should have visible "eyes" in a couple of weeks. I'll have lots more Karma Serena, Mrs. Kennedy, Mardy Gras and Miss Molly. I can also dig up some of my extra Helen's Carl, Korb Yellow Highlight, Hy Patti, Patricia Ann's Sunset and Sisa, I'm also willing to sell any of the above for $2.50 each plus postage if that's of interest. I'm into anything red, and know very little about dahlias. Other than the fact they're stunning, and the national flower of Mexico.

I'd love anything red, AND care instructions.

Hummingbirds. I have 'Raspberry Wine' monarda, electric blue or magenta spiderwort (I have no idea why the hummers like either of those!) I also have 'Black and Blue' sage, which they absolutely love.

Do deer love Dahlias?

Hi- If you send me your email (mine is messner_n@yahoo.com) I can send you my list with pictures of everything I've got. Or look on the site dahliaaddict.com for pictures and links to suppliers. Patricia Ann's Sunset is a very nice pure clear red. Kasagi and Mardy Gras are red and yellow. There's a good basic how to guide on the web if you search for "doing dahlias the easy way oregon state" you should be able to find it or I can send you a copy. I'd be happy to trade for your Raspberry wine monarda and/or the electric blue spiderwort. I'm just starting a shade garden so if you have any shade loving plants I'd be interested in them. On trades I pay postage to you and you pay postage to me. If you're in DC burbs it will be pretty reasonable. Thanks for your interest. Nancy
