Thank you for noticing one of our favorite installations in this modern farmhouse design. It should be noted that the client wanted a seamless backsplash due to the type of cooking style they enjoyed. In order to achieve their mandate, we engaged the services of an eglomise artist. Eglomise is often done on mirror, it was very popular in french design, as it is highly decorative. In this installation we applied this old world technique and commissioned the artist to paint cherry blossoms as if the tree was growing through the home. the glass was then tempered and installed.

1. thank you, wonderful effort. we just finshed building a new house in Calgary, Alberta and have a feature wall to finish. I saw a somewhat similar tile (cherry blossoms) http://www.bobotiles.com/art.asp, but did not want it on the wall because of the grout lines. i thought of glass, but did not know how to go about it.
