million shades of tan and red. so without actually seeing the colors, your house, the door,,,who knows? paint it black.

HI -- You should never try to match reds .... it just never works . The roof is it's own color and I would not use red anywhere else . Front doors should be it's own color and not red . Black would be perfect with the tan siding for the front door and shutters too but it depends on what the windows color is . Trim could be a warm or creamy white with the tan

I'm not a huge fan of black. I thought it was hard 9 years ago when we built our house to design it, but it seems even harder now lol.

Yes, here is a picture of my front door right now. I love the dark charcoal color, and may end up going with it, but just cannot make my mind up right now.

Here is a picture of our house too, but with us replacing the metal roof due to the hail damage, it will be the cardinal red color in one of the above pictures.

With the new siding and roof colors, I agree that a black or dark charcoal front door would be the way to go!

Personally, I would make them the same color as the front door, mainly because the cardinal red roof color may be difficult to match. Also, too much red could be overwhelming, depending on your tastes.

Maybe a loden green?
