Looks like they are doing well.

I have not tried a flask myself yet. When I was on vacation in Mexico there was a place selling small flasks that were fairly inexpensive. I was tempted but didn't want to have issues taking them on the plane so I passed.

Tried several compots in the past (violacea phals and mini-catts), but never a flask. As an indoor winter grower I was concerned about the space issue after a year or two if I was successful with a flask.

I see you've been very successful!, out of curiosity what are your plans for these 'kids in the future?

James, I have purchased from a couple of places. Woodstream Orchids for the Phrags, Fox Valley for the Paphs, and Mostly Species and Sunset Valley for the for the Cattleyas. So far I am at 85-90% survival. That's goes to Bob's comment on space. .

Bob, I am still deciding. I am keeping most of the Phrags. I am hoping for some close to white one and I don't have that many of them. Woodstream makes small flask of 9-12 seedling. Plus I only bought minis. On the others, I have traded away several of the seedlings and compots. I will sell some at our local orchid auction. Not sure about the reminder yet. They may make their way to eBay. I sell on there a couple of times a year when I need space. The seedlings are still small now. So I can fit a lot in a small space. Next year maybe be a bigger issue though.

I bought flask for variety (new hybrid or hard to find varieties). For example, I have Laelia speciosa x C violacea, L sanguilboa x tenebrosa, Paph Sacagawea's Slippers, Paph Wossner Tigerkuli, and Phag Spot On x klotzscheanum.

Since I grow inside over winter, I cannot keep adding flask until I have a smooth way to pass along the access. It's been fun so far though.
