Just bought a house and found out the trees we have in our back yard are protected and can not be cut down....Which takes our initial plans for extending our deck go out the window. We have thought about building around the tree, its slow growing and will not get to wide in coming years, but with a sloping yard are unsure the best layout to keep for the dogs to still have room to play.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be amazing.
