Location for Ariadne Japanese Maple

Hello everyone. I just purchased a 4.5' tall Ariadne and am having second thoughts on where to locate it. I have two places that it would fit nicely and want your opinion on it.

Location 1 is a spot about 18' wide x 20' deep between a oak tree and a pole shelter type building. The area is mainly shaded up until maybe 4:30pm then gets some sun for about 2 hours before the sun goes below the tree line for the day. Of course this varies as the days get longer or shorter.

Location 2 is on a slope at the rear of my house in a corner that gets morning shade and maybe 2 hours of noon time sun then it is shaded for the remainder of the day.

I was kind of wanting to save location 2 for either a Fireball or Bashful a little later on.

I have one other spot that I assume most will say put it there but, it's kind of out of the way and will not be seen much there. Filtered shade all day now, becoming fully shaded all day as all the trees leaf out with no sun at all.

I am in zone 8 in northeast Ga.

As always I appreciate your input. Thanks
