Hi, ontheteam. I checked out the facebook page, which is extremely active! I find it more difficult because it seems to be harder to search for posts, etc. But people are certainly very active over there. I'm jealous!

Hi ontheteam. I've been here since 2006 or so. Tr%%di and I have had our differences but since this is a public forum, I guess I continue to be allowed to post. I don't do Facebook or other file-sharing sites since I'm ancient and can barely keep up with email. Glad to "see" some familiar faces here. Happy gardening!

Hi, Trudi has no control of who posts here. I am not sure why you think she would... and I find Trudi is a smart fair cookie.." differences" are good.. civil debate is healthy and encouraged by her on her personal page.. She prefers to keep the Face book page politics and hot button issue free. But that is about it.

I never ever had control of who or what was posted here. NEVER. And so it can't be part of public record, you are seriously, wrongly mistaken. I have never been an employee here and have no access to their site controls. Period. Please do not continue to pass along this false information.

This is why I went to FB. After Spike left, Tamara just couldn't keep up with the trolls. Also, I was very limited with the amount of out-linking and file-size of photos you could add to the FAQs. I went to FB because I also needed a much more global base. File and photo sharing are rapid, I get page results weekly, and I can link to my own content at WinterSown.Org which I was limited to do here. The FB Winter Sowers group is a great site, lots of nice people--all vetted because I maintain a family-friendly group--and among them are agricultural educators from around the world observing how we share our knowledge.

As to you getting banned, what do you think happens when you push people's envelopes? You own this place or use it for free? Show some respect to the site owners.

I haven't done winter sowing in a few years but I probably will get back into it this year now that I am retired from my job. I always enjoyed the winter sowing forums & I will check out the website and the FB page if I can find it.

Way to go, Trudi! You've been my wintersowing mentor since day one way back when, and I can't believe how much I've learned from you. I follow the wintersowing group on Facebook, too.

I am new to winter sowing being this is my first year trying it. I have purchased many different seed of annual flowers and a few different veggies. Tomatoes of course being one to grow. I have learned so much from reading past posts here. I do not have Facebook so I will continue to come here to learn. Thanks to all the former people who shared their knowledge and beautiful flowers that they have grown via winter sowing. Please keep sharing.
