Yay! They've been here a couple of weeks now....maybe 3 weeks. Mine are new (and some milkweed is blooming so maybe they'll lay eggs). Usually I see the faded ones (indicating older age and probably migrating from Mexico) but I haven't seen any faded ones yet this year.

Monarchs! Yay!

I've had one following me around the garden in the past couple of weeks.

It has a crush on you, Rebecca!

Better than the mama robin who likes to screech and chatter at me, or the squirrel who has no fear of me whatsoever!

I've seen at least 6 monarchs already! Last year I only had 3 total all summer! I'm really hoping the sightings continue to grow!! The Milkweed is about to bloom in my butterfly garden so maybe that will keep em' coming!

Rebecca I have a squirrel out to get me, I swear! If I thought it wouldn't bite me, I'd try to pet him. Jerk. Lol it's disturbing to see them completely ignore me. It's almost disrespectful haha

Awwwww yay!! I have seen a couple of butterflies roaming around but neither is a monarch. I planted seeds to create more of a butterfly friendly environment but they are barely sprouting. I might have to buy a couple plants to appease them for now till my others can grow up.
