Here are some of the plants I've collected and started to care for. They all seem to love Al's Gritty Mix, and my wife and I finally moved somewhere I'm comfortable they won't get vandalized if they are outside for the summer! From left to right: Little Miss Figgy that is finally recovering after it got damaged in shipping, a hidden adenium obesum seedling, "California red-tip" crassula ovata (jade), mini/compact jade (supposedly crosby compact), PVN1 dwarf schefflera arboricola (much smaller than a typical dwarf schef), ficus retusa, ficus benjamina (3 cuttings that are fusing together), little miss figgy, 2-more adenium obesum seedlings.

Here is a closer shot of the retusa, which I plan on hard-pruning in May, once the plant has regained some energy from the spring sun.

It was overgrown and went through a rough patch during which it lost a lot of internal leaves. I did a light prune last year as to not sap any more of it energy, but with the hope of some back-budding (which hardly occurred). My plan is to basically prune all the secondary branches so they are only about a half inch long from the primary (trunk). I'd appreciate any advice!

PS - I plan on moving some of these from my front porch to my back porch once they acclimate to the outdoor sun. The front gets morning (eastern) sun until about 1pm when the roof over the porch blocks the light. The back porch gets hotter afternoon sun (western).
