Hello everyone,

Right now I have a collection of 11 moth orchids; nine are outside on my patio and two are in the house. I bought the two orchids that are inside in February and the one I put in the living room looked like it was struggling (wrinkled leaves, small flowers, curling flower petals) but the other one I put on the kitchen counter was thriving.

I was watering the orchid in the living room and I discovered an infestation of mealybugs; almost all of the flowers have multiple bugs on them and the underside of the leaves have a ton of mealybugs. I inspected the orchid in the kitchen and the flowers are clean but there were two adult mealybugs on the leaves. This plant isn't showing any signs of distress yet. The one in the living room looks horrible with such an advanced infestation, would it be possible to save this one or is it too far gone? This orchid is still in its plastic growers pot but it's inside an antique silver pot, how can I sanitize the silver pot so I can put another orchid inside later? How should I go about saving the one in the kitchen?
