Propagating Hoyas from leaves

I got a few leaves of a Hoya Carnosa from a friend, with the stalk that attaches to the leave still left, although I don't think there was much of the actual stem left. I've read about how Hoya Kerrii will not grow from the leaf, and I was wondering if the same thing applies to this species. They have all developed roots, when I tug at them lightly they seem to be stuck in the soil.

I found it!

It's a few comments down and posted by member "4C's Company, Inc". The comment refers to her mother's Carnosa that died and she salvaged one single leaf after all were lost. Her friend apparently advised her to snip 1/3 of the leaf (basicly the tip of the leaf) off. The wound sealed and later her leaf began to grow a stem from the petiole area. Hope this helps!

Ok...to clarify, you received leaves with the petioles still attached, but no stem?:

If there is NO STEM, chances are very, very low for new growth. Even leaves without petioles left can root, but the likelihood of new growth is nil.

Yes, exactly. Oh, bummer. It's not like they're taking up much space so I guess I will leave them for a little while longer, just to see if it happens, but I won't keep my hopes up.

I read somewhere and I'll try and find a link to the article or post (don't take my word for it just yet) that if you cut the leaf in half somehow this stimulates the remaining, if any, stem cells attached to the petiole to produce new growth. Stand by on this like I said, but if you have multiple leaves rooted it might be worth a try on just one of them.

I have the top portion of a leaf that broke. I stuck in root hormone and then sphagnum moss. It has roots coming. I look forward to what arises from it.
