does that have to be on a slab? how is it elevated and what type base did you use?

The covered area is on a suspended slab. It has a elevated steel deck supported by brick piers with a concrete slab poured on top. The open/lower patio is a concrete slab over tamped fill/soil.

You did a great job! The bluestone is lovely. We have a stamped concrete patio that we would like to change to blue stone. Can we place the blue stone on stamped concrete? Thanks!

As long as the stamped concrete is structurally sound and not showing any signs of cracking it should be fine. Talk with a stone mason and have them look at it. The surface of the stamped concrete needs to be able to bond to the mud base for the bluestone.

We have a stamped stained concrete that always looks dirty. It is only 4 years old and has lost it's lustre. Would love to replace ours with something like this. What is the maintenance on the bluestone? We have been resealing our concrete every spring and it looks terrible after just a few months. Thanks for your help. This is beautiful!

Bluestone simply needs to be lightly washed every few years depending on location. It is for the most part maintenance free.
