Vote for Backsplash with Cambria Brittanica with Gray Cabinets!!!

Help!!! We fell in love instantly with Cambria Brittanica for our new Kitchen, however choosing a backsplash tile to go with it has been really challenging. We are going with Aristokraft Brellin cabinets in Stone Gray, and champagne brass hardware and fixtures, also show below with a small sample of Brittanica. We are doing going for a contemporary/modern vibe, and doing a waterfall on our peninsula. Most of the images that I see online with Brittanica are either same slab backsplash which we can't afford $$$, or white subway tile, which is to standard/basic/ubiquitous for our tastes. Since Brittanica is bold and has a lot of interest and movement we know the tile has to play a cameo supporting role. We are looking to sell the condo that this will go into in the next couple of years so we don't want it to be too specific either. Our favorite so far is from the Modern Ann Sacks line, but is almost as much as our countertop, so that's a no-go.

We love that it's matte since we are planning to do a honed finish on the countertop. However, most of the options that we can afford seem to be glossy. I've put together a few ideas here along with the countertop, cabinets, hardware and our flooring. Also VERY OPEN to suggestions beyond this poll.

Glossy. The photo I posted with no link is called Dream from Floor & Decor, and I think they're gorgeous in person -- some wavy-surfaced, some ridged, all sparkly.

I'd stick with white, as you already have gray in the cabinets and you don't want to compete with your beautiful counters. However, you could bring in some texture so that it doesn't feel so conventional -- glossy or iridescent glass, say, or something ribbed or textured. There are tons of choices in both categories...

Ooooh! I love the idea of some overall texture, great suggestion. Would you go with something glossy or matte with the honed/matte countertop?

I like the elongated dimensional hex. Its complex pattern will add a bit more flair to a neutral color scheme.

Going to Floor & Decor this weekend to have a look at their options. Also thinking something in large format with texture could be great like your image with the dark cabinets.

Also saw this today, thinking that a light/white solid color in a large(r) format with edge strips could be awesome...thoughts?

We went with the polished version of Brittanica after all. So happy with the result. Still deciding on tile...

looking great so far. I really like the first or second tile/ backsplash options. the subway tile options look far too common.

Which backsplash did you choose? I love the light gray beveled subway and the light gray rectangles with alternating designs. So cool! Where did you get those?

What did you decide? We are also using Brittanica but we have cherry cabinets - not my choice.

None at all! We decided to paint the cherry cabinets to brighten up the kitchen.

@Sue it looks beautiful!! And I love your backsplash too!! How has your experience been with surface stains and markings?? We're between the brittanica and MSI Verona. (Thanks so much for the quick response and photos!)

No problems and I just wipe it down. I love the wavy look it’s so stunning and it’s perfect for our lake house.

Help! I just installed Brittanica for a custom island. Since I am clueless, I didn't appreciate the question "matte or polished" when choosing the finish. I selected polished, but I think matte is more my style afterall. Can I ask why you chose one finish over the other?? Don't get me wrong, I think it is beautiful, but I now am second guessing myself. :-(
