Will TillageMax Indy seed from 2015 still germinate

I have an area of my back yard that I was thinking of planting some TillageMax Indy I have had since 2015. It has been sitting in my office under my desk, pretty cool and dark place. Will it still germinate and grow?
Starting next weekend I have two weeks off, during this time I wanted to deal with this area in my back yard. The area was grass, I am slowly reducing the grass areas I have. I was thinking of placing a layer of cardboard, then spreading 1" or 2" of compost, then broadcasting this TillageMax seed and raking it in. If I do this will it grow and will it make it through the cardboard?
