Happy Easter to one and all!

Eld6161, I love your little ledge for little treasures.

    Do they all have backstories?

Actually the bunnies do. The little lop ear bunny is a remembrance of Peter, a bunny we used to have. The silver one is from a good friend of mine when i turned 50. The ceramic is from my SIL.

I have quite a large collection of mini flowers. I used to display them all but now I just scatter a few about. The Easter egg tulip one I had in storage and as I was decorating, I remembered it. The miracle was I remembered where I stored it!

An Easter tea this afternoon under the apple trees. The sun felt so good. I sat down there for two hours, just came in; and the only reason I came in was the sky was getting mighty dark over towards the South. Wind was picking up too. Altho the sun was still peeking out and shining bright where I sat , I decided I'd better head for indoors.

    Pretty School.

I am having a good day. Totally unplanned things happening but all is good. Neighbor asked me if I would like his pine needles. Well YES. Make good mulch around my stepping stone paths. Of course I had to rake them and haul them home. Five big garden cart fulls. No biggie. The nice thing is the garden care wheels span my stepping stones so no bumpty bump over them. I very good thing.

Then some one driving by stopped to ask questions and ended up touring my house . It was kind of fun to show it off. Glad it was half way clean.

I started out to work in the garage or back patio. Now I am not sure which to work on. Too bad I can not be in both places at the same time.

Hope you all are having a good day.

I had dinner with my childhood friend's family. We dug roses; the old fashioned kind. I hope they spread like mad and will add to my new lilac windbreak hedge. Supposed to rain on Tuesday but I think to be on the safe side I should water them yet tonight.

I went to my niece's house for dinner. There were about 30 people. I usually don't care for large family gatherings, but decided I would go this year. I made a large batch of mac and cheese to take and it was a big hit so that made me feel good. They had predicted big storms for today but we had a beautiful day and it only started clouding up as I was leaving to come home. I'm only 15-20 minutes away and I got in the door and it wasn't 2 minutes later that the skies opened up and the flood waters came!!! So thankful I was already in the house. I walked the dogs during a little break and now it is storming again. I hope everyone had a good Easter if that is your thing and just a good Sunday if it is not. :)

Oh and I see the "up arrow" is back!! Yay!!!

My brother's wife emailed to say they wanted to host Easter dinner or at least go out to eat but couldn't corral her kids and grandkids all at the same time on account of their schedules, so ended up planning nothing. My Aunt invited me to her family dinner Sat. evening but I forgot until I had just sat down with my own supper. Ham and goodies would have better than my leftover Johnny Mac.

That's ok. As others have said, I had a pretty darn good day all by myself.

I am in on a rest break. I needed some water. I changed into capries and short sleeve T shirt. Even so I am over warm with the efforts I am putting in. It feels like it is going so slow. I did get the 32 by 32 inch cement slab pad for the kennel put in and fairly level. Dug up and transplanted a lot of ground cover. found three of my hosta plants and moved them to a big container for now. One is still MIA. So I must be gaining on it. I have been working really hard at it. The ground cover is going into the kitty kennel area. I think my next step is to plant the hens and chicks I picked up today then call it good. It is clouding up here too. I thought we were going to have some sunny days lined up. Oh well it will be great if it rains on my transplanted babies. The ground is still really wet. I might sprinkle them in when I get done. IF I have any more left in me to do it.

Did you pour or move the cement slab yourself? That's a hard job. You deserve a break for sure.

schoolhouse. I made the slab up of 8 16 by 8 by 2 inch cement slabs/pavers. It was the leveling part that was so hard. They are heavy but not like if it were all one piece. It is only going to hold up the 30 by 30 inch kitty cage. It will be tall with very little foot print or roof print. Shelves going up it for them to climb up and down on. It will be mostly for their winter out side space when they choose to go out there. Still a long way to go to finish up the patio. Far from photo worthy.
