For me yes,only Hogyoku is later in my garden

How was it protected? My JMs planted to provide them winter shade (to keep them dormant in early warm spells) are just now showing signs of bud swelling.

Japanese maples do not all leaf out at the same time and even different branches on the same tree may leaf out later than others. It is still very early in the season for many maples to be showing much color.....mine are only now just starting to show signs and at different rates here in my very mild zone.........so I wouldn't panic yet.

Well it's just an observation in my garden,as the others have said,don't panic yet,there's no hard and fast rule regarding timing but those two are always my last....good luck :)
