If you don’t need storage why not just a nice console table with your art mounted above it, FYI from looking at the kitchen I think you could use more storage though.

I do need book storage, if that seems appropriate.

What is behind the chair where the laptop is sitting? Could you put a buffet type chest there? Books are all right in the dining room but think the living room would be better.

Nothing, it's just the wall. Opposite wall has more space.

Dining set staying for now. Yes it's a large wall, I used to have a desk there, but it didn't work well.

Something like you see in the two photographs we posted might look nice on that wall.

The dining room table is centered under the chandelier right now, which offsets it and leaves more space on that side. I tried it centered in the room for a while, but it just made for a tighter walk-thru on both sides. Bayberry Cottage, I do like that first sideboard. Would you add a couple matching lamps in a dining room or just art above it?
