Hi Sue, Welcome to the forum. I too, have some baby seedlings growing at the moment. As you would know, our weather here in Brisbane gets a bit colder then yours in Mackay. My babies are so far coping with the cooler nights & mornings. I have them in the sun all day & then move them indoors for the night to try & keep them warmer. They are growing slower then they would in Spring, and I am watering them with seaweed solution, whenever I water to try and keep them healthy.

We have a small group of Aussies here on this forum, that will probably say hello soon. I also love chatting to our overseas cousins, as it is great to see what they are growing/doing on the other side of the world.

1500 seeds, hmmm you will be busy. That sounds like a nursery to me. :D Good luck with your babies/seedlings & don't forget to update us all when they eventually flower.... Rachel :)

Hi Rachel Thanks I have been reading your comments and have shared yours flowers I am really impressed.I have got about 50 to 60 plants I repotted and cut back and they have all reshooted and now in flower I don't know whether they will go dormant but it not cool here at the moment. I thought the cyclone would damaged some. but they stood up like little champs. the seedlings I have are growing I give the 1/4 seasol,1/4 tomatoe superfood every fortnight. after repotting them into bigger pots I will keep that up and give them their 6months feeding I use scotts osmocote pots planters and indoor they seem to love always green . if I get to learn how to give some photo I will shoot them through.

By the way, you can use seasol at full strength whenever you water, as seasol is not really a fertiliser - but more of a tonic, that keeps your plants healthy. Our plants love seaweed/seasol & we use it on everything from our baby seedlings to our older plants. It is especially helpful for plants under stress or recovering from repotting or insect attacks.

I'm glad the cyclone didn't damage your adeniums, they really do cope better then many other plants would. We had a couple of days of cyclonic winds & drenching rain & our adeniums were outside in it the whole time & did fine. I can't say the same for our shade cover on our pergola area. It was shredded to bits. We have since put up a new one. :D

What are your long term plans for the Queensland adenium forest you have planted? It would be great to see some pics of your set up etc. We like pics :-)
