adenium Pics. Anyone Know This One?

Well I got this 'red splashed' one at Wal-Mart, for all of $9.99. Never had a slashed adenium, saw it at wal-Mart, just off the truck! So I unwrapped the rack it was on, and took it.

The rest are the common 'obesium', white with the pink edges, you know.

Wish this one came with a name on it. But none of their adeniums had names. The solid single white one is one i have had for a few years, also un-named, it is a single white with a light pink blush that appears on it after 2 days of being open. And has a lightly frilled edge.

The red single one has a black edge to it, even though it doesnt show. I got it about 3 years ago from Home Depot. I need to re-pot it badly, and the white one to.

The double yellow one is the one I posted a question about, that the blooms will not open. This is the most it has EVER opened. I dont know its name, I think it is like 'Siam King', or 'King of Siam.' I got it off of EBay, it is a big plant, and it just put out like a dozen buds, but they won't open. I took these pics. because at least one partially opened, but to show the rest, that they only open this much. Any ideas whats going on with them?

But anyone have a guess for a name, for my Wal-Mart one? I bought it because it has the red splashes, and it was so cheap! And it's huge!! So..enjoy the pictures, even if no names come from anyone. This is a sample of my adeniums.

Hello pooh, I think the soil might not have enough drainage. Needs moe gritty mix and some fertilizer. But I do like the yellow one. Good luck with it.

Excuse me? Which one am I not going to be happy with? The yellow one? No, it doesnt thrill me, until i find out why it wont open. If you mean the red splashed one, I love it. Unless you live in Ft.laud...I am not shipping this big plant out...thrilled with it, or not. It would cost WAY to much.

Pooh, check the root system and the body of your plant. If there are a lot of pimples like grow on the body, you definitely want to look at the roots system. The bud and flower suggested water is the cause due to the early wilting. I am afraid that the roots have been rotten.

the plant is robust and is firmly in the soil, its got lots of strong roots.

Its been in the same pot for like 4 years, drains fine, and the plant looks great, the blooms just wont open. and they get fed about 4 times a year,all of my adeniums.

I hope someone know a reason for it not opening all the way. I apologize for jumping into a conclusion too soon.

I noticed some of my other plants bloom much better if they have plenty of light and heat.

i am in south Fla. it is in full sun all day, it is HOT all year, etc. 3-4 days a year....thats our 'winter'....when it drops to a chilling 50 sometimes...eekk!

Poohbear If it was my plant, I would take it out look at its roots, plant in a cacti mix and sprinkle some Osmocote granules, controlled release fertiliser. It is a nice plant. Good luck with it.
