We are in the midst of picking a contractor to install Hardie siding and new windows. Long story short, we hate the color of the brick facade. We have a brown roof and like blue-gray siding color, and we want to love the transformation. After meeting several contractors, if seems as if we have a couple options. I would love to get feedback and advice on any of these:

1. Whitewash brick
2. Paint brick (not thrilled about this option)
3. Take brick off (2 contractors said this is a huge expensive project and 2 others say it's not that expensive and they do it all of the time)
4. Install the Hardie siding over the siding (we had never heard of this but was mentioned by one contractor)

Any insight or advice on these options? Thanks!
