Interesting seed experience today

Last year I had one row of Korean squash, two kinds, and one was shaped like an avocado. As you may remember I had a 'massive' squash year for winter squash, but these were summer squash and I kind of got tired of them. I accidently let a few get too big, so I just left them on the vine until Fall and took a few inside. I have given squash to the poultry all winter because I had so much. A month or so ago, I still had two of these avocado squash in the house, and I moved them to a lawn chair outside. They have been through lots of cold weather, hail, rain, sun, you name it. Today I decided to open one and save some of the seed. Some had germinated inside, which is not terrible unusual, but they were totally green. Dark green just like they had been growing outside in the sunshine. I had never seen that before. I may have to open the other one tomorrow to see if it is the same.
