Great looking palms!

Whereabout are the public plantings? I've only known them to grow at the SF botanical garden, the Palmetum in Oakland, UCB and private gardens. It'll be great to start seeing these planted more in public spaces. I'm seeing them more and more at nurseries so maybe they'll be more widely planted going forward.

Union City . Alvarado blvd,has them for one street. A trio are planted on Mission blvd. Nelson Kirk who works for the city has planted on Alvarado, Mountain palms,Wine palms,Silver Butia ( a beauty!) Brahea armata..and dozens of Jacaranda,Flame, and Silk floss trees.

Then,Josue is the Union City Library park. I call it the palm park since Nelson planted many variety's of all palms hardy,some Howea and King palms too. Sabal's you wont see anywhere else.

THEN- ha,is the row of a mile of wine palms and Trachycarpus planted down Mission from the Hayward border to near Fremont.
