What are the show worthy growing methods/techniques?

I often see huge standards in pots with prefect rosettes.
all the videos and forums lack a step by step in fine detail on how people in their homes prepare their violets for shows. For us houseplant hobbyists, perhaps growing them for our own enjoyment should be put into account also. I would love to hear from someone who has experience in AV shows or, has on their own time created lovely violets on their windowsills with perfect shapes and tremendous amounts of blooms.

    not that i am an expert, but here are a few points to pay attention to:

    • repot regularly, depending on pot size every 3-6 months
    • consistent care (not constant ;) - water fertilize etc
    • disbudding to promote leaf growth and time blooming - the timing is the hardest part!
    • space - you'll be amazed how they grow bigger if they have "air" around them instead of being crammed together
    • turn them regularly for symmetrical growth
    • remove any bottom row leaves that are smaller than the above
    • keep the foliage clean
