Hi,

I recently had to take an apple tree down in my backyard, because another big tree from the commons fell on it and crushed it :(

My question: What can be a good replacement of the apple tree in the backyard, with low moisture.

I am thinking of either a Cherry,Pink Dogwood, Japanese Stewartia?

I am in Michigan, and the site has some sun in the mornings and afternoons. The soil is mix of clay.

Any recommendations on the flowering tree.
