Hi, i am growing my first container lemon tree. I have searched the internet for days and i have not found a clear answer, maybe yall can help with your opinions!

I started it from seed, it is 11 months old, and 43 inches tall. it has grown so tall that it just tries to lay over because its top heavy.... i am wondering if i should top the tree?

I live in arkansas so i want to keep the tree 6-7 foot tall tops because i will bring it in and out depending on the weather.

my question is , how do i need to prune it , or do i even need too?

It was a single tree trunk up untill 1 month ago and it started growing branches mainly in the middle of the plant as you can see in the pictures.

I just want the best out of my plant and if im going to put the time into it i want to do it right!

Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated!
