It is a cane type begonia. Looks a lot like 'Esther Albertine'.

I think all of the pictures above are just beautiful. I've been looking for different kinds of begonias and I just can't find any at the big box stores

Most of the begonias I've collected over a lifetime come from 1) mail order 2) trading 3) conventions 4) visiting nurseries when traveling 5) hitting it lucky finding them locally which means visiting often during the growing season 6) joining the local begonia club if you have one in your area. Those listed are not necessarily in that order.

Do not count on big box stores to give you every option available - they are in business to make money and begonias are not everybody's cup of tea. It takes some work and dedication on our parts to find and obtain our passion.
