it is miss joaquim, Harvey, nice looking plant. You're right about how tough this plant is. Likely due to its round, pencil thick leaves. It can withstand FULL tropical sun easily and bloom non stop, provided it gets watered daily even multiple times and fed (heavy, 1 TBSP per gallon) weekly or twice weekly.

This plant with some wre for support and Dendrobium gatton "sunray" can be grown as a hegde in south florida.

Thanks Ben. I do for all a table spoon to the gallon. But I use it every other week. I've been using orchid plus, available in the big box stores. The label for a long time gave a choice of 1 Tbl. spoon to the gallon every other week or a tea spoon to the gallon every week. Then a year ago they only printed weekly weekly.

Another wire trick is to create a cylinder 4' plus or minus high x 2 to 4' diameter of wire mesh. Eventually it looks like a tree.

I shudder, thinking how much it would cost today. In those days gold was a reasonable price, even though I don't remember the price, I do remember it wasn't expensive. I believe, they received an international award, for the addition of the semi-precious stones, till then, I think it was gold. The high/low of the pendant is adjustable.
