I am glueing my work to plywood and I am using mainly transparent glass. For small projects (12 x 12) I have covered the plywood with aluminum tape and then used a dull pencil to create interesting patterns on the tape. This has worked well and provides a silvery base and depth to the transparent areas.

I can't find any info online about this taping technique and now I am doing a larger piece (24x30) and am wondering if I could run into trouble using the tape. My original pieces are holding fine at a year and a half.
