Ken, Thank you for the information, next time I will try that. I planted them in the rain yesterday, no sun in the forecast, hopefully they will be fine.

99 % they will be fine.. they are hosta ...

Ken, I planted them with the crown just below the soil level, so most of the new growth is a above the ground.
