I have an extensive drip system using the woodpecker emitters and 1/4" soaker dripline. The woodpeckers are amazingly durable, in 10 years of use I think I have only seen a few clog. However, the 1/4" driplines seem to work about 5 years then most of the emitters top working. I think it's mineral buildup because my area has water hardness of about 24 grains - I had to install a softener in the house. I can see a white residue on many of the emitters.

I used to just replace the driplines but I'm getting tired of the labor especially around rose bushes. I see that people claim to have luck running vinegar through the system but not sure what the best way to do this is. Some claim fertilizer injectors work but seems like there would too much dilution. I would have to inject at 1/2" drip line tubing. I was thinking perhaps an easyloc T + valve and pump in vinegar somehow, perhaps a pump sprayer? Or perhaps even gravity would be sufficient?
