Door hardware finish...

In our house we have all different hardware finishes. Kitchen cabs are zinc and copper. Lights are ORB. Powder room is brushed nickel. Bedroom and master bath is ORB. For 40 years we've had antique brass door knobs and hinges. We're now getting all new doors and we've added a few new rooms to the house. We can't match our existing hardware, so we need to change, but don't know which finish to use. All the doors and woodwork is dark walnut. Any suggestions?

You can't go wrong with ORB IMHO. Especially with the dark woodwork.

I think you could do whatever you like. My doors are dark and my doorknobs and backplates are brass that has dulled with the patina of years of use. My bathrooms are nickel and/or chrome. I'm getting ready to redo my kitchen and it will be chrome or nickel. I think powder rooms/bathrooms quite often use chrome or nickel even when the rest of the house is brass or ORB. What do you really love?
