Towanda... as far as I know, I may be the only one in the US growing ROEDEAN. I sent cuttings to Cliff before he closed up EuroDesert Roses, and I
know he got a handful of them to root, but I dunno who ended up with
them, or if they did all survive. I also sent cuttings to Frank Benardella about a yr before he passed away. He no longer had it himself! I tried rooting it this winter, but the cuttings were too small. They didn't make it. I am going to try and get more going after the first flush here pretty soon. We'll see if I can do it this time. I'm not having much luck rooting cuttings anymore for some reason...

    I missed these. Lovely group.

The one I'd like most to pick up its roots and walk over here is WONDERSTRIPE.

Beth, do you think PARTY HARDY looks like that Home Depot SWIRLING ORANGE?

Beth, what method do you use to propagate?

    Again more unusual pretty blooms!

Irisgal... I'm not sure if that PARTY HARDY is the same rose or not. My SWIRLING ORANGE almost died last yr, and I'm waiting for it to recover and bloom so I can compare. There is a possibility they could be the same. They both seem to have that weird serrated edge and semi-ruffled look. Color is similar too. Will compare when SO finally blooms again!

Towanda... I stick my cuttings into (usually) a one gallon pot of regular potting soil. I used to put a 2litre bottle with the bottom cut off and the lid removed over them, but I've been trying to do taller cuttings, so instead I was bagging the whole pot up inside a Hefty 2.5gal zip-lock baggie. I don't know what the trick is to get them to root better. Oh... I just got some Clonex rooting gel that's supposed to work better than the regular rooting hormones. Didn't work on all the cuttings I tried tho.

Hmmm... it seems I have failed with cuttings when the soil is too wet and not enough drainage material in it. I haven't done that many cuttings, but I do use the 2 litre bottle top method.

That's too bad about Roedean. It's cool looking. Do you have any Candices at all? I feel like I've seen you post photos of her.

Wow. So many pretty ones and lots I've never heard of but what's new. Love lots of them but Girls Night Out is calling my name!! Lol

Towanda, I do not have CANDICE. I kick myself every time I see her posted. I almost ordered her before Ludwigs closed up, and then tried with that fiasco order thru Agave, but they sold out if her. Maybe they will offer mail order again in the fall and have some of her then.
