My experience with allium is that animals don't like them because of their odor. I have someone in my neighborhood who "picks" flowers a couple times a year. Of course they are the ones I'm watching and the ones with a lot of color. I'm hoping it's a 5-year-old who takes it home to his mother. That's the only thought that keeps me sane! I know the sunflower that disappeared one year was cut off 6 feet in the air and someone used a knife--so I knew that one wasn't a child--probably the teen boy across the street. (Sigh) Heidi
