All roses are perennials. In cold zones, sometimes the canes die and new basals grow from the roots if it's an own root plant. Sometimes they don't come back. I'm in a warm zone, so I don't know much about that. Some roses are repeat bloomers. The miniature rose you purchased looks like Gigi from Poulsen Roser A/S. For me, it is one of the last roses to bloom. Your mini rose will do better outside if your danger of frost is over. Enjoy your blooms.

Im z4b. Alot of the roses i see are labeled z5. But i have a minni that comes up every year. But its 20+yrs old.

I have my gigi outside in a pot. It seems to be doing ok no blooms yet though. My other minni isnt blooming yet this year either.
