When I first saw pictures of Pistachio after it was introduced, I thought it was hideous. Then I saw one in real life and fell hard!! This is probably my favorite of all my hydrangeas, with each flowerhead offering a unique combination of colors and even more as the flowers age. And it is ridiculously easy to grow in a container, as it is of a modest size. As long as you have a good place to overwinter, this one shouldn't disappoint!!

My Bloomstruck was a rescued return from the nursery last summer and was in pretty bad shape when I acquired it but it is looking pretty decent now. I have a hard time passing up free, if damaged, plants :-) It is still in the container it was returned in and I haven't trimmed back any deadwood yet but it is producing flower buds. We have had a very cool and wet spring and I don't expect any of my hydrangeas to be blooming before the end of next month. The 4th of July usually signals hydrangea season here :-))

I just got back from Walmart and I am glad they had no hydrangeas. Otherwise, I may have been baaaaad. :o))

Nicholsworth, you make me laugh! Worthy of a soap opera, with love, loss, and return to love. ;>)
