It's starting to look like I got scammed -

Location map on their web site shows somewhere in Berkely, CA, but their address is given as Glendale (Los Angeles area).

Phone number is a Glendale, CA number, but it invariably goes to a voice mail.

LA County Recorder has no Fictitious Business Name statement on file for Orchard Depot, and the California Secretary of State has no record of any corporate entity with any such name - and legally there has to be one or the other

Web page server is in Canada.

On-line contact requests get a form response that ignores the content of the contact request. Trees ordered 2 weeks ago are "on their way", "shipped by air mail" and "can't be tracked".

I have a call in to the leasing agent of the building where they are supposedly located (I'm fairly confident that they will call back, because I'm a real estate broker), to see if there is a tenant by that name in the building, and if so, who signed the lease. I'll update here if I get more info.

Heard from the building leasing agent - there is no such tenant. In fact, there is no such suite as they list as their location.
I've passed the info over to the FBI.

I also purchased from this site. I noticed their address on their website indicated they are located in Berkeley, CA. I wished I saved a screen shot of that. Then a few weeks later after I ordered, their address on their website has changed to Glendale, CA. I do have a screen image of this. I decided to call their telephone number, however, only reached a recorded message. Each telephone call at different time of the day reached only a recorded message.

I doubt I will get the items I paid for, or a refund. Many signs lead to a scam from this company.

My advice to others who are interested from buying from this website is stay away - save your money or shop elsewhere. I wish I did.

Thanks to all who have responded. The website is expensive but seemed to be the only place that had the plants I was looking for but I will stay far away. To those who got scammed my deepest condolences, it's not fun to have to deal with these scandalous companies and I am greatful we can tell each other to watch out.
