June came in today!!

I received June today. The gallon one. I don't know? It seems smaller than I was expecting but, yes, a gallon jug. It's pretty. I like it. Will put pictures up later when I can. So, June, Halcyon, and First Frost are all like mother (Halcyon) and daughters and sisters (June and First Frost) correct? My poor Albomarginata is the odd man out... My little orphan! LOL!!!

I'm in zone 5, Ontario and my hostas haven't even hit their stride yet, but just for you I thought I would show you my June's - all from one plant. Looks like I have another blue eye to transplant :). I have never been able to simply twist them off ... I like to save them. I find a blue eye each year it seems.

in backyard...the "baby" has grown to 2 eyes this year. The mama is at top of photo.

front yard (hot n sunny) - another blue sport to save :)

another in front yard and growing like gangbusters! Bigger than original mama.

My last of my 6 June's - kept in a pot just because. I gave divisions to each of my daughters as well so June will always remain in the family. :-)

Yes, June & First Frost are sports of Halcyon. Congrats on a beautiful classic Hosta. Can't wait to see it.

Brandy, a beautiful choice in 'June'. Not only a beauty, she is very hardy and slug resistant too. Her colour changes with light exposure and each transition offers equally exquisite colours. She may quickly win your heart and become your most prized Hosta! :D

Of all my hostas June is my favorite. I love her Spring color. I love Great Expectation the rest of the year because it has June color all year.

Still learning from the experts here, but I suspect that the blue "sport" is probably reversion to parent halcyon, as discussed above. Beautiful plants.

June is one of the most striking hosta. I have several just because too. If you decide you need another to compliment June try finding First Frost . It is as the opposite colors of June and compliment each other to a T. You will never be disappointed buying June

Hey sista, Jo, Would you say you love June! lol You have a great family. Brandy, I purchased June 3 years ago because everyone said you have to have it. I concur.

I have been away from home for a couple of days (while temps were in 30's and high-20's! Quickly surveying the beds, I can't get over the unfurling that has gone on in my absence! Wow!

Anyone have a pic of June in a nice large pot. I have a turqouise pot that I bought last week that needs a specimen plant in it. I first considered Liberty, but I already have two, and they grow so slow. I must be one of the only ones here not to have a June, and I am thinking it would look fantastic in that large pot I have.
